Firm History
Since the firm began in 1988 we have enjoyed great success and continue to grow. We have a strong local following
as well as many business clients and clients all around the country and some overseas. The firm attracted the attention
of the media when Martin Smith represented a young woman whose husband was killed by a drunk driver. A private prosecution
succeeded where the CPS had refused to proceed and the offender was jailed. Further high profile cases include law suits
against hypnotists for causing psychological damage. Several of these cases have resulted in TV documentaries in which
Martin has taken part. The firm obtained the only standing judgment in the world against a stage hypnotist for causing psychological
damage.
